I'm Marcel Druwé.

When I was in Grade 7, my school division built a new school in Southdale that my classmates and I would attend for Grades 8 and 9. This new school had a cool new feature: a darkroom! I found the idea of working in a darkroom totally intriguing and was super keen to learn how to use it. There was just one problem... I didn't know how to take photos in the first place. And so, using my dad's Petri rangefinder camera and a couple rolls of Kodak Tri-X black and white film, I started learning how to take photos.

All these years later, I am still passionate about photography. I love the creative outlet that photography affords me. I love the doors it opens, the great places it brings me to discover, how it has taught me to see, and the connections to all the wonderful people it has allowed me to meet.

I'm a dad to two wonderful young men. I love my home in Norwood Flats. (Two deer, three rabbits and a squirrel in my yard last week. At the same time.) I have an old but interesting studio space in the Exchange District. And I'm also passionate about music.

I would be happy to talk to you about photos you would like help creating.
